Description
The Gravity DS18B20 Temperature Sensor is a reliable digital sensing module designed for precise thermal measurement with microcontrollers such as Arduino. Powered by a Dallas DS18B20 chip with 1-Wire communication, it provides high anti-interference performance across a wide operating range. It is well suited for students, educators, and hobbyists developing climate control systems and temperature-monitoring prototypes.
Accurate digital thermal sensing
The module delivers digital temperature conversion with a resolution of up to 12 bits and accuracy within plus or minus 0.5 degrees Celsius. It measures across an extensive temperature range from -55 degrees Celsius to +125 degrees Celsius.
Single-bus communication and parasitic mode
Using an advanced single-bus protocol, this sensor transmits data over a single microcontroller pin to minimise hardware overhead. It also supports parasitic power mode to streamline wiring across complex sensor setups.
Onboard EEPROM and alarm triggers
The sensor includes built-in non-volatile EEPROM memory to store custom high and low temperature limits. This enables threshold monitoring and trigger events directly from the chip.
Gravity interface and broad compatibility
Operating on an input voltage of 3.3V to 5V, the sensor connects seamlessly to IO expansion shields via its digital interface. The compact board measures just 22 mm by 32 mm for straightforward installation in tight project enclosures.
Supplied hardware accessories
The kit includes one DS18B20 Temperature Sensor V2 module alongside a matching digital connection cable.
