Description

The Gravity: Digital Weight Sensor is a 1kg load cell and signal processing module designed for precise weight measurement in Arduino projects. Built around the HX711 24-bit analog-to-digital converter, it provides high-resolution data acquisition for compact electronic scales and custom automation setups.

Precision 24-bit ADC conversion

The module features the HX711 converter with an on-chip active low-noise programmable gain amplifier (PGA) offering selectable gains of 32, 64, and 128. It includes on-chip power regulation, an internal oscillator, and selectable output data rates of 10SPS or 80SPS with simultaneous 50Hz and 60Hz supply rejection.

Gravity interface and wiring

Equipped with the standard DFRobot Gravity interface and compact terminals, the board allows straightforward wiring to bridge sensors. The load cell connects via designated terminals for excitation (Red to E+, Black to E-) and signal lines (Green to S+, White to S-).

1kg load cell performance

The included 1kg weight sensor provides an output sensitivity of 1.0±0.15mV/V with a synthetical error of 1 per thousand cent of full scale. It supports an excitation voltage range of 5V to 15V and features an overload capability of 200% full scale.

Direct HX711 communication

Designed for Arduino setups requiring direct control over the HX711 chip, the module operates at 5V (HX711 chip supports 2.6V to 5.5V) and features a compact 38mm by 34mm footprint.
