Description
The Gravity: Digital Vibration Sensor is a compact plug-and-play module designed to detect shaking, knocking, and impacts. Operating at 3.3V to 5V, it outputs a clean digital signal that makes it ideal for students, makers, and educators building interactive microcontroller projects.
Digital vibration and impact detection
The sensor triggers a digital signal upon detecting vibration, shaking, or sudden impact, allowing for straightforward event-driven programming. It is designed specifically for event detection rather than measuring vibration frequency, strength, or acceleration waveforms.
Pedometer and motion applications
With its responsive mechanical triggering, this module can be applied in step-counting experiments, anti-tamper devices, and crash warning projects. It allows simple monitoring of object movement and physical interaction without complex sensor filtering.

Broad microcontroller compatibility
The module operates from 3.3V to 5V and uses a standard 3-pin Gravity interface for direct connection to Arduino, micro:bit, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi boards. It connects directly to IO expansion shields using the included digital cable.
Compact and durable hardware design
Measuring 22 by 30 mm, the board includes standard mounting holes and a gold-plated PCB surface for reliable signal transmission. It features an open circuit resistance of 10 Mohm and a switch operational life of up to 10 million seconds.
Supplied package contents
The pack includes one Gravity: Digital Vibration Sensor and one compatible Gravity digital sensor connection cable.
