Gravity: Digital IR Transmitter Module

The Gravity: Digital IR Transmitter Module is an infrared emitter board designed for wireless communication and remote control projects. Operating at 38 kHz, it transmits digital signals via invisible infrared light when paired with a matching IR receiver module. It is well suited for students, educators, and hobbyists creating custom remote controls and robotics systems.

Standard 38 kHz modulation

The module transmits modulated infrared light at a standard 38 kHz frequency with wavelengths between 750 nanometres and 1 millimetre. It integrates an IR emitting diode and essential circuitry to convert digital electrical signals into optical pulses.

Standard 5V digital interface

Powered by a 5V supply, the module uses a digital interface for straightforward connection to microcontroller boards. The included digital cable allows for quick wiring without requiring external driver circuitry.

Line-of-sight wireless communication

Infrared transmission relies on an unobstructed line of sight between the transmitter and receiver. It provides targeted optical signalling within a room without penetrating through walls or ceilings.
