The Gravity Digital Infrared Motion Sensor provides responsive PIR motion detection for Arduino and compatible development platforms. It is ideal for students, hobbyists, and educators building automated lighting, presence detection, or security projects. The module offers straightforward digital output and wide-area coverage to simplify prototyping.

Rapid baseline calibration

After powering on, the sensor requires only one to two seconds to take an initial snapshot of the still room. Once calibrated, it immediately begins monitoring the surrounding environment for changes.

Active low alarm output

When movement occurs after the initial calibration period, the integrated alarm pin drives low. This provides an unambiguous digital signal directly to your microcontroller.

Passive infrared sensing coverage

Featuring passive infrared detection, the module monitors an area across a 110-degree field of view with a range of up to 7 metres. This wide cone of detection ensures dependable room coverage.

Simple microcontroller integration

Designed for digital interfaces, the sensor connects seamlessly with Arduino boards and standard expansion shields. Its plug-and-play digital logic removes the need for complex signal processing.
