Description
The Gravity: Digital Crash Sensor (Right) is a miniature snap-action micro switch module designed for physical collision detection and limit switching in electronic builds. Operating with very little actuation force, it integrates an onboard status LED and pull-up resistor for effortless setup. It is ideal for students, hobbyists, and makers building interactive Arduino and micro:bit projects.
Snap-action roller lever switch
The module uses a miniature snap-action micro switch that actuates with minimal physical force. The attached roller lever ensures smooth mechanical contact across diverse project environments.
Integrated status LED and resistor
An onboard pull-up resistor and indicator LED simplify circuit design and speed up debugging. Users receive immediate visual confirmation whenever the switch is triggered.
Arduino and micro:bit compatibility
The sensor connects directly to standard IO expansion shields for Arduino controllers. This upgraded version also provides full compatibility with BBC micro:bit systems.
Compact 5V hardware design
Operating at a standard 5V supply, the module breaks out digital output, VCC, and GND pins. Its 30x20x8mm footprint includes two M3 mounting holes for secure mechanical installation.
Broad sensing and limit applications
Typical use cases include 3D printer position feedback, robot collision detection, and safety interlocks. It is also suited for elevator levelling, vending machines, and jam detection mechanisms.
