Description

The Gravity: Digital 5A Relay Module provides safe, isolated switching for high-power AC and DC loads using standard 5V digital logic. Ideal for students, makers, and automation hobbyists, it allows low-voltage microcontrollers to easily control mains appliances, lamps, pumps, and solenoids. The plug-and-play Gravity interface and built-in status LED simplify circuit integration without external driver stages.

High-power circuit switching

The single-channel mechanical relay supports switching voltages up to 250VAC and 30VDC, with a contact rating of 10A on Normally Open (NO) and 5A on Normally Closed (NC). It handles up to 250VA or 240W of switching power for smart home and automation projects.

Opto-isolated TTL operation

Featuring an opto-isolated design, the module electrically separates sensitive microcontroller logic from high-power loads for improved safety. It triggers with standard TTL logic levels (2.4V to 5V for ON, 0V to 0.4V for OFF) and includes an onboard LED for real-time status feedback.

Plug-and-play Gravity interface

Equipped with a standard 3-pin Gravity digital connector, this board links directly to 5V Arduino expansion shields with no extra driver circuitry required. Fast 10ms operate and 5ms release times deliver responsive switching for embedded automation systems.

Usage and compatibility notes

This relay is designed strictly for low-frequency ON/OFF switching and is not suitable for PWM power regulation or dimming. For 3.3V controllers such as the ESP32 or Raspberry Pi Pico, a 3.3V-compatible relay or MOSFET controller is recommended instead.
