Gravity: Digital 360° Tilt Sensor for Arduino

The Gravity: Digital 360° Tilt Sensor detects orientation changes and inclination across all directions using a digital trigger. It is an ideal, safe alternative to mercury switches for students, educators, and hobbyists building interactive Arduino projects.

Full 360-degree inclination detection

Unlike standard tilt switches limited to a single axis, this module utilizes a cylindrical housing to register inclination across a complete 360-degree range. The internal switch triggers when tilted past an angle of 45° ± 10°.

Plug-and-play wiring connection

The module integrates a standard Gravity 3-pin interface for quick wiring to microcontroller expansion boards without soldering. It connects directly using the included PH2.0 to DuPont digital cable.

Safe internal mechanism design

Operation relies on a freely moving metal ball that completes or breaks an electrical contact under gravitational force. This mechanical design offers a sensitive response while eliminating the hazards of traditional mercury-filled switches.

Broad logic and software support

The sensor operates reliably on 3.3V to 5V power supplies, making it compatible with standard Arduino boards and other common development platforms. It also supports graphical programming environments such as Mind+ for classroom learning.

Compact hardware specifications

Measuring just 22 x 30 mm, the compact board fits easily into DIY toys and experimental setups. The package includes one digital tilt sensor module and one 3-pin digital connection cable.
