Gravity: Conductivity Sensor Switch

The Gravity Conductivity Sensor Switch is a digital detection module that senses electrical conductivity across a wide variety of materials. With sensitivity reaching up to 10MΩ, it transforms everyday items such as fruit, plants, metal, and human touch into interactive switch inputs. It is an excellent choice for educators, students, and hobbyists building interactive art installations, STEM demonstrations, and custom game controllers.

High sensitivity conductivity detection

With a maximum detection resistance of 10MΩ, this module identifies conductivity across both standard conductors and organic materials. It reliably registers contact from coins, wires, human skin, plants, and fruit.

Interactive input and project triggering

Bridging the positive and negative test leads changes the digital output state of the sensor. This simple switching action enables makers to construct novelty projects such as fruit pianos, musical chimes, and interactive gaming inputs.

Standard Gravity interface integration

Designed for simple integration, the module features standard PH2.0-3P Gravity pinouts with colour coding and built-in reverse polarity protection. It operates reliably across a supply voltage range of 3.3V to 5V.

Compact physical footprint

Measuring 30 x 22mm and weighing just 22g, the compact board easily fits into custom project enclosures. It outputs a clean digital signal ready for reading by microcontrollers and IO expansion shields.

Included cables and clips

Each pack includes the conductivity switch sensor, a compatible 3-pin Gravity digital connection cable, and two 45cm alligator clips in yellow and white for immediate hookup to conductive targets.
