Gravity: Capacitive Touch Sensor Kit (Digital Output)

The Gravity: Capacitive Touch Sensor Kit is a compact sensing module designed to create hidden, touch-activated digital inputs through solid surfaces. Operating across 3.3V to 5V, it converts finger contact into a clean digital signal for microcontrollers such as Arduino. It is ideal for students, hobbyists, and educators building interactive exhibits, smart home controls, and custom robotics enclosures.

Hidden adhesive pad integration

The kit includes an adhesive-backed copper sensing pad that mounts behind panels or inside enclosures. This conductive plate extends the sensing area, allowing the detection circuitry to stay completely concealed while maintaining responsive touch activation.

Detection through multiple materials

The capacitive module reliably registers touch contact through diverse non-conductive and conductive barriers. It detects finger interaction through glass, metal, plastic, and rubber surfaces without requiring exposed mechanical parts.

Direct digital microcontroller output

Operating across a 3.3V to 5V power supply, the board delivers a digital output signal readable directly by Arduino and standard IO expansion shields. The low hardware complexity allows rapid integration into embedded systems and classroom demonstrations.

Compact board footprint

Measuring just 15 by 10 mm, the compact PCB easily fits into tight spaces inside custom enclosures. The pinout consists of three dedicated leads for digital output, power, and ground.
