The Gravity Capacitive Fingerprint Sensor is an all-in-one biometric module featuring integrated image capture, processing, storage, and comparison. Designed for microcontrollers like Arduino and BBC micro:bit, it provides a secure and reliable access-control solution for makers, educators, and electronics hobbyists.

Self-contained biometric processing

Powered by an ID809 high-performance processor and semiconductor sensor, the module runs built-in IDfinger6.0 algorithms. It handles fingerprint capture, registration, storage, and deletion independently without relying on host-side image processing.

Fast 360-degree matching

The sensor supports 360-degree arbitrary angle recognition and features a deep self-learning function for improved reliability over time. It can store up to 80 fingerprints with a rapid 1:1 verification speed of 300 to 400 milliseconds.

Gravity I2C interface and compatibility

Featuring standard Gravity connectors, this sensor communicates over I2C and supports both 3.3V and 5V operating voltages. This plug-and-play design ensures straightforward wiring with platforms such as Arduino UNO and micro:bit.

Compact design with breathing LED

Housed in a durable CNC metal ring measuring 21mm in diameter, the sensor includes round breathing LEDs for visual feedback. The 8.0mm by 8.0mm capacitive detection area provides a 508dpi resolution across 160x160 pixels.

Ideal for security and access projects

With dedicated Arduino libraries and upper computer software available, this module is well suited for embedding into custom door locks, drawer cabinets, identity recognition systems, and authorization projects.
