Description
The Gravity BMP388 is a compact, low-power 24-bit barometric pressure and temperature sensor designed for precise environmental and altitude detection. With support for 3.3V to 5.5V systems and Arduino code control, it is ideal for makers, students, and educators developing weather stations, altimeters, and indoor navigation devices.
High-precision pressure and altitude tracking
Utilising Bosch piezoresistive sensor technology, this 24-bit sensor provides a relative pressure accuracy of plus or minus 8 Pa, resolving altitude changes down to approximately 0.5 metres. It also measures ambient temperature with an absolute accuracy of plus or minus 0.5 degrees Celsius between 0 and 65 degrees Celsius.

Indoor positioning and navigation support
The module accurately calculates altitude and relative floor heights based on atmospheric pressure changes. When combined with an IMU sensor, it enables 3D indoor positioning, navigation, and enhanced GPS tracking.
Dual communication interfaces
Designed for simple integration, the board supports plug-and-play Gravity I2C 4-pin wiring as well as an SPI interface for 3.3V systems. It operates over a wide voltage range of 3.3V to 5.5V with a low current draw of roughly 0.5mA.
Enhanced performance and robustness
Compared to earlier BMP180 and BMP280 versions, the BMP388 offers lower power consumption, higher resolution, a faster sampling rate, and high EMC robustness. It features an operating pressure range of 300 to 1250 hPa and functions reliably from minus 40 to 80 degrees Celsius.
Compact layout and included cabling
The module measures 22mm by 30mm with 3mm inner diameter mounting holes spaced at 15mm for straightforward mounting. Each unit ships complete with one Gravity BMP388 sensor module and a PH2.0 4-pin sensor cable.
