Description
The Gravity BMM150 Triple Axis Magnetometer Sensor is a low-power, low-noise digital geomagnetic compass module based on Bosch sensor technology. It is ideal for makers, students, and engineers adding accurate spatial orientation and electronic compass capabilities to robotics or navigation projects.
Precise three-axis magnetic measurement
Powered by Bosch's FlipCore technology, this sensor measures magnetic fields across three perpendicular axes with a resolution of 0.3 microteslas and a non-linearity of under 1 percent full scale. It offers a measurement range of plus or minus 1300 microteslas on the X and Y axes and plus or minus 2047 microteslas on the Z axis, achieving an accuracy of plus or minus 2.5 degrees.
Flexible I2C setup and connection
The module features an onboard 2-bit DIP switch that allows you to configure up to four distinct I2C addresses on a single bus. It also provides a programmable interrupt pin and standard Gravity interface connectivity for quick integration with microcontrollers.

Low-power mobile performance
Operating from a wide 3.3V to 5V supply, the sensor draws only 1.7mA at 10Hz and features a fast 3ms start-up time. Its low noise level of 0.3 to 1.4 microteslas and robust temperature rating of minus 40 to 85 degrees Celsius make it reliable for mobile and battery-powered builds.
Navigation and motion tracking applications
Because it provides spatial orientation without requiring initial calibration, this sensor is well suited for autonomous robot navigation, drone positioning, and electronic maps. It is also suitable for head motion tracking, indoor or outdoor navigation systems, and augmented reality hardware.
Included package contents
Each kit includes one Gravity BMM150 Triple Axis Magnetometer Sensor board, one Gravity 4-pin I2C/UART sensor cable, and one 5-pin single-row male pin header for breadboard prototyping.
