Description

The Gravity: Analog Signal Isolator isolates both analog signals and power lines to eliminate mutual electrical interference between sensors. It is ideal for students, makers, and engineers building multi-sensor systems, such as water quality stations combining pH and conductivity probes in a single container.

Plug and play Gravity interface

The module uses standard PH2.0-3P connectors designed for solder-free connection with DFRobot analog sensors. It includes two PH2.0-3P cables to connect directly between your microcontroller board and target sensor.

Plug and play Gravity interface

Seamless 1:1 signal transmission

A 1:1 analog transmission ratio ensures the 0 to 5.0V sensor output is mirrored accurately across the isolation barrier with a 4-second typical response time. Because the signal mapping remains direct, existing microcontroller code does not need to be modified.

Integrated isolated power supply

An onboard isolated power module provides 5.0 ± 0.2V and up to 170mA directly to the sensor terminal, removing the need for a secondary power supply. The non-isolation MCU ground and isolated sensor ground are fully separated and must not be short-circuited.

Interference prevention for water monitoring

Electrochemical sensors such as pH and electrical conductivity meters frequently interfere with one another when sharing a common ground in the same liquid. Isolating both power and signal paths ensures each probe measures correctly without cross-talk.

Power requirements and thermal behaviour

Supplying a precise 5.0 ± 0.1V to the MCU terminal ensures maximum analog output accuracy, and external power to the mainboard is recommended to support the 75mA no-load current. The compact 42 by 32 mm board normally generates heat during routine operation.
