Gravity: Analog Heart Rate Monitor Sensor (ECG) for Arduino

The Gravity Analog Heart Rate Monitor Sensor allows makers, students, and hobbyists to measure and chart the electrical activity of the heart as an ECG signal. Equipped with an onboard AD8232 conditioning chip, this module provides clean analog readings directly to microcontrollers such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi for biometric and tracking experiments.

Integrated AD8232 signal conditioning

Biometric signals are naturally susceptible to noise, so the onboard AD8232 chip filters interference to extract clear signals from the heart's PR and QT intervals. The resulting analog waveform can be viewed in real time using the Arduino IDE Serial Plotter on a PC.

Standard Gravity interface

Equipped with a standard PH2.0-3P analog connector, this board provides plug-and-play integration with Arduino IO expansion shields. Its compact 35 x 22 mm footprint makes it easy to integrate into wearable and portable prototyping rigs.

Broad microcontroller compatibility

The sensor operates across an input range of 3.3V to 6V (5V recommended) with a 0 to 3.3V analog output. This flexible operating voltage ensures direct compatibility with 3.3V and 5V boards including Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Intel Edison, Joule, and Curie.

Complete prototyping kit

The package includes the ECG sensor board, a 3-connector electrode lead cable, six disposable biomedical sensor pads, and a matching PH2.0-3P analog cable so you can begin measuring immediately.
