Description
The Gravity Analog Electrochemical CO2 Threshold Alarm Sensor is designed for qualitative carbon dioxide monitoring and automated threshold switching up to 10,000 ppm. Built around an MG-811 electrochemical sensor core, it provides both a digital alert trigger and an analog output for microcontroller projects. It is well suited to hobbyists, students, and makers building automated ventilation systems for mushroom cultivation, brewing, or enclosed workspaces.
Adjustable hardware threshold alarm
An onboard potentiometer allows you to manually set a target CO₂ concentration limit directly on the module. When ambient levels exceed your preset point, the digital output changes state to trigger relays, buzzers, or cooling fans without requiring complex code.

Wide detection range for cultivation
With a detection capability spanning 0 to 10,000 ppm, this sensor operates effectively in environments with elevated CO₂ concentrations. It is ideal for monitoring agricultural and biological processes, such as mushroom fruiting tents, wine and beer fermentation vessels, or small-scale bioreactors.
Flexible dual output interface
The module includes both a Gravity analog output (2.7V to 4.1V) to log relative concentration trends and a digital header (0 to VCC) for immediate alarm logic. Note that electrochemical sensors perform best in stable temperature and humidity conditions when tracking relative changes.

Integrated signal conditioning hardware
Manufactured with an immersion gold PCB measuring 32 by 42 mm, the board incorporates an onboard heating circuit and signal amplifier. It operates from 3.7V to 5V across an operating temperature range of -20°C to 50°C and 0 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity.
Automated ventilation and safety control
This module functions reliably as an automated safety trigger in poorly ventilated spaces such as garages, workshops, and basements. It delivers an unambiguous go/no-go digital signal to activate extraction fans the moment carbon dioxide reaches high levels.
