Description

The Gravity: Analog Current Sensor 50A (AC/DC) V2 is an isolated Hall Effect-based current sensing module designed to measure bidirectional currents from -50A to +50A. Built around the STK-600/M sensor, it provides an analog voltage output that scales linearly with the detected current. It is well suited to students, makers, and hobbyists building energy monitoring, motor management, or robot circuit protection systems.

Bidirectional AC and DC measurement

Powered by a linear STK-600/M Hall Effect sensor, this module accurately measures both alternating and direct currents across a -50A to 50A range. It outputs an analog voltage signal directly proportional to the measured current with fully isolated measurement lines.

Flexible high-current connection options

The board features through-hole vias and slots engineered to accommodate thick electrical wiring and aeromodelling T-shaped connectors. Polarity is clearly marked on the circuit board, allowing quick connections via direct soldering or alligator clips.

High bandwidth and rapid response

A 120kHz signal bandwidth and a 4.6 microsecond response time allow the sensor to capture rapid fluctuations in load. This high-speed performance makes it ideal for time-sensitive circuit protection and dynamic motor control.

Low impedance and magnetic shielding

A low internal impedance of 0.08mΩ reduces power loss and operating heat under high current conditions. The low-hysteresis magnetic core prevents interference from magnet wires, external magnetic fields, and geomagnetic fields.

Standard Gravity interface integration

Operating at standard 5V logic, the board includes a 3-pin Gravity cable for straightforward plug-and-play wiring to microcontrollers. It withstands measuring voltages up to 50V AC and 120V DC over a wide temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
