Description
The Gravity BMI323 6DOF IMU Sensor is a plug-and-play motion tracking module combining a 16-bit 3-axis accelerometer and a 16-bit 3-axis gyroscope. Designed for Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi platforms, it features built-in gesture algorithms, I2C/UART connectivity, and dedicated GUI visualisation. It is well suited to students, hobbyists, and developers building robotics, wearable tech, and interactive motion-controlled devices.
High-rate 6-axis motion measurement
Built around the Bosch BMI323, the module delivers output data rates up to 6400 Hz with low noise and on-chip temperature compensation. It supports selectable acceleration ranges from ±2 g to ±16 g and angular rate ranges from ±125 °/s to ±2000 °/s to capture both slow tilt and rapid rotation.

Hardware-level motion and gesture detection
Integrated hardware algorithms detect step counting, single and multiple taps, tilt, free fall, and activity states directly on the sensor. Two programmable interrupt pins alert your microcontroller when events occur, removing the need for continuous host-side polling.

Plug-and-play Gravity interface and GUI
Featuring an onboard MCU and a standard PH2.0-4P connector, the module supports I2C and UART communication with wide 3.3–5 V operating voltage support. Dedicated Gravity GUI software allows live motion data inspection before writing application code.

FIFO buffering and flexible power modes
A built-in 2048-byte FIFO buffer stores motion samples to maintain continuous data collection when the host processor is busy. Developers can tailor energy consumption to their application using Sleep, Low Power, Normal, and High Performance operating modes.
Broad compatibility for interactive projects
With four selectable I2C addresses (0x4A to 0x4D) and compact 32 mm × 27 mm mounting dimensions, the sensor integrates easily into multi-device setups. It is ideal for robot tilt feedback, gesture-controlled devices, and game controllers across Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi ecosystems.
