Description

The Gravity: 2-Channel I2C DAC Module provides dual 0-5V or 0-10V analogue voltage outputs driven by an onboard 12-bit GP8403 converter. Controlled via I2C and compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic, it enables makers, students, and engineers to interface microcontrollers with industrial hardware such as inverters, pumps, and light controllers.

Dual standard voltage outputs

The module provides two independent analogue output channels capable of delivering 0-5V or 0-10V industrial control voltages. This allows microcontrollers like Arduino to automate external equipment such as lighting dimmers, valves, and variable frequency drives.

12-bit high-precision conversion

Powered by the GP8403 DAC chip, the unit processes 12-bit digital input signals from 0x000 to 0xFFF. It delivers reliable signal accuracy with an output voltage error below 0.5% and a linearity error of 0.1%.

Addressable multi-module cascading

An onboard DIP switch allows you to select between eight distinct I2C addresses. This feature allows up to 16 devices to be cascaded on a single bus for complex multi-channel automation systems.

Low power with built-in protection

Designed for 3.3V to 5V operating voltages, the board draws less than 4mA during operation. It also includes integrated output short-circuit protection to prevent hardware damage during testing and deployment.

Included connection hardware

Each unit comes with one Gravity 2-Channel I2C DAC module and a standard Gravity 4-pin I2C/UART sensor cable for immediate wiring to compatible development boards.
