Description
The GM77 Barcode and QR Code Scanning Module is a compact, high-efficiency optical reader capable of reading 1D and 2D codes at speeds up to 15 metres per minute. Designed for simple integration, it is ideal for makers, students, and engineers developing embedded projects such as access control scanners, self-service kiosks, and mobile payment terminals.
Compact high-speed optical scanning
Measuring just 48.5 by 27.5 by 14 mm, this compact module scans at speeds up to 15 metres per minute. Its small form factor makes it simple to integrate into space-constrained housings and industrial equipment.

Onboard camera with auxiliary illumination
Equipped with a 640 by 480 CMOS sensor, the unit includes auxiliary white LED lighting and a red LED focus guide. This configuration ensures reliable code recognition even in low-light conditions.

Automatic sensing and dual interfaces
The module automatically senses barcodes and triggers scanning without manual intervention. It connects seamlessly to microcontrollers and host systems using onboard TTL-232 or USB interfaces.

Driverless cross-platform operation
The built-in decoding algorithms offer plug-and-play convenience without requiring driver installation. It provides wide compatibility across Windows, Linux, Android, and Mac operating systems.

Support for high-density codes
Beyond standard 1D and 2D formats, the module reads laser codes and high-density symbologies with an accuracy down to 4 mil. This versatility supports specialised uses in automated ticketing, payment terminals, and access points.

Complete cable kit included
The package comes ready for development with the GM77 scanning module, a dedicated USB adapter cable, and a TTL adapter cable.
