FRn20-H0D Mass Air Flow Sensor

The FRn20-H0D is a precision mass air flow sensor utilising MEMS thermodynamic principles to monitor gas flow rates in pipelines. Delivering rapid 50ms response times alongside factory temperature compensation, it offers dependable accuracy and repeatability. It is well-suited for makers, engineering students, and developers building medical ventilation systems, air purifiers, or industrial control hardware.

MEMS thermal measurement technology

The sensor employs a thermodynamic principle to detect gaseous media in flow channels with high sensitivity and an ultra-low startup flow rate. This provides strong full-scale stability and consistent repeatability across dynamic flow conditions.

High measurement range and accuracy

With a measuring range of up to 150 SLM (measured at 20 degrees Celsius and 101.325 kPa), the unit maintains an accuracy rating of plus-or-minus (2+0.5FS). It reacts quickly to flow variations with a 50ms response time.

Pre-calibrated with temperature compensation

The sensor comes fully calibrated and temperature-compensated from the factory for use between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius. It is rated for working pressures under 200 kPa.

Flexible interfacing and power

Designed for easy microcontroller integration, the sensor operates on a 5V to 15V supply with a 30mA operating current. It supports output via either I2C or analogue voltage.

Medical and environmental applications

Its sensitive detection capabilities make it ideal for intensive care ventilators, portable ventilators, air purification devices, environmental monitoring equipment, and industrial process control.
