Flex Sensor 2.2" Bend Resistor (10KΩ-125KΩ Range)

The Flex Sensor 2.2" is a variable bend resistor that increases its resistance from 10KΩ to 125KΩ as it flexes. Utilising patented Spectra Symbol technology with over 1 million life cycles, it is an ideal sensing component for students, makers, and educators building wearable interfaces and Arduino robotics projects.

Variable bend detection

Resistance across the sensor increases from 10KΩ to 125KΩ when deflected with the metal pads on the outside of the bend. Ensure care is taken around the wiring base to maintain reliable readings.

Spectra Symbol reliability

Built with patented Spectra Symbol technology, this robust sensor is rated for over 1 million flex cycles. The same core technology was famously utilised in the classic Nintendo Power Glove.

Breadboard-compatible connector

Featuring standard 0.1-inch pin spacing, the sensor connects effortlessly into solderless breadboards and prototyping shields for quick circuit development.

Ultra-thin dimensions and thermal tolerance

With compact dimensions of 77mm by 6mm by 0.43mm, the sensor fits easily into tight mechanical assemblies. It operates reliably across an operating temperature range of -35°C to +80°C.
