Description
The FireBeetle Covers OLED128x64 Display Module is a 0.96-inch graphical expansion board engineered for the DFRobot FireBeetle series. Combining a crisp 128x64 OLED screen with an integrated joystick, dual user buttons, motion sensing, and multilingual fonts, it provides a comprehensive human-machine interface for students, makers, and IoT developers working with Arduino or MicroPython.
Integrated display and tactile navigation
The 0.96-inch blue OLED features a 128x64 resolution housed in a protective frame and communicates over I2C for streamlined wiring. It integrates an analog five-direction joystick on pin A0 and two programmable digital buttons on pins D3 and D8 to simplify on-device menu navigation without external control boards.
Onboard three-axis motion sensing
A built-in BMA220 accelerometer brings motion awareness and orientation tracking directly to your interface. Communicating via I2C with selectable measurement ranges of 2g, 4g, 8g, and 16g, it enables tilt-controlled menus, gesture detection, and activity monitoring with minimal power draw.
Dedicated multilingual font library
An onboard GT30L24A3W font library chip handles character rendering over SPI to significantly reduce flash memory usage on the host microcontroller. It features Unicode support for Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and more than 180 foreign character sets across multiple matrix sizes.

Broad development environment compatibility
The expansion shield operates from 3.7V to 5.5V with a 12mA working current and integrates seamlessly with Arduino libraries and MicroPython workflows. This makes it a dependable user-interface layer for compact robotics controllers, portable dashboards, and educational STEM projects.
Complete mounting hardware included
Each board is supplied with two standard 18-pin 2.54mm pin headers and two extended 18-pin stacking headers. This flexible hardware set ensures direct and secure stacking onto FireBeetle microcontroller platforms.
