Fermion: Voice Recorder Module (Breakout)

The Fermion Voice Recorder Module is a compact audio recording breakout board equipped with 16MB of onboard flash memory for storing up to 40 minutes of audio. It suits makers, students, and educators adding custom voice prompts or sound effects to interactive electronics and crafts.

Versatile four-way control options

The module supports four operation modes including Arduino control, UART AT commands, ADKEY inputs, and direct onboard push buttons. You can record and trigger multi-segment audio using the built-in buttons without needing an external microcontroller.

16MB storage and USB access

With 16MB of onboard memory, the board holds up to 40 minutes of multi-segment audio recorded at a 48kbs sampling rate. It supports analogue U-disk functionality over a Type-C connection, allowing easy copying of sound files to and from a computer.

Compact layout with onboard amplifier

An integrated power amplifier allows for direct speaker output without supplementary audio drivers. Measuring 26 x 30 mm, the board operates on 3.3V to 5V supply voltages and draws over 10mA during operation.

Creative audio project applications

The board is ideal for building custom talking plush toys, personalised audio gift cards, and standalone event voice memo boxes.

Included package contents

Each unit comes with one voice recorder breakout board and two 6-pin 2.54 mm single-row black pin headers for breadboard or PCB integration.
