Description

The Fermion STS35 is a high-accuracy digital temperature sensor breakout powered by Sensirion's STS35 chip, delivering factory-calibrated readings with an accuracy of up to +/-0.1 deg C. Featuring a wide 2.15V to 5.5V operating voltage and high-speed I2C communication, it is ideally suited for students, makers, and researchers building precision climate monitoring and laboratory systems.

Connecting the module to your controller requires standard I2C lines, supporting communication clock rates of up to 1MHz across operating voltages from 2.15V to 5.5V DC.

High precision digital sensing

Sensirion's STS35 provides fully calibrated, linearized, and supply-voltage-compensated digital output. It achieves a 0.01 deg C resolution and +/-0.1 deg C accuracy over a broad operating range of -40 deg C to 125 deg C.

Integrated dehumidification heater

The sensor includes an onboard heating element with 3.6mW to 33mW power consumption to self-dehumidify the chip. This enables reliable and accurate measurements in environments with variable humidity levels.

Rapid startup and compact form

Featuring a typical startup preheat time of just 0.5ms, the sensor offers rapid readiness and long-term stability. The compact 20x17.5x2mm board includes standard M2 mounting holes on a 15mm pitch for easy installation.

Target applications and uses

The module is well suited for greenhouse climate control, grain bin monitoring, laboratory temperature regulation, and weather stations requiring dependable long-term performance.
