Fermion: SHT30 Digital Temperature & Humidity Sensor (Breakout)

The Fermion SHT30 Digital Temperature and Humidity Sensor is an accurate, low-power environmental sensing breakout powered by the Sensirion SHT30 IC. It delivers factory-calibrated digital measurements over I2C, making it an accessible solution for students, hobbyists, and developers building IoT climate monitoring systems.

Reliable CMOSens measurement technology

Equipped with Sensirion CMOSens technology, the onboard SHT30 sensor combines capacitive humidity and band-gap temperature sensing elements. This architecture delivers high reliability, strong anti-interference performance, and fast response times with minimal power consumption.

Calibrated temperature and humidity precision

The module measures relative humidity across 0% to 100% RH with a typical accuracy of ±2% RH between 10% and 90% RH at 25°C. Temperature measurements span -40°C to 125°C with an accuracy of ±0.2°C across the 0°C to 65°C range.

Broad microcontroller compatibility

Featuring an operating voltage range of 2.15V to 5.5V, the breakout interfaces directly via I2C. It communicates seamlessly with both 3.3V and 5V development boards including Arduino, micro:bit, and ESP32.

Versatile environmental monitoring applications

The sensor is suited for diverse smart monitoring applications, including urban environmental stations, smart home climate control, and grain storage facilities. It is also well matched for automated plant and animal breeding environments.

Compact layout and included hardware

Measuring 19 mm by 16 mm with a 2 mm mounting hole at 15 mm pitch, this breakout integrates easily into tight enclosures. The package includes one SHT30 sensor board and a 6-pin 2.54 mm straight header strip.
