Description

The Fermion LIS331HH Triple Axis Accelerometer Breakout is an ultra-low-power, high-precision motion sensor offering 16-bit resolution. With user-selectable ranges of ±6g, ±12g, and ±24g, it is well suited for makers, students, and engineers developing robotics, navigation devices, smart agriculture setups, and VR/AR projects.

High-precision selectable measurement ranges

The sensor provides 16-bit data output with user-selectable full-scale ranges of ±6g, ±12g, and ±24g. It supports configurable data output rates ranging from 0.5 Hz to 1 kHz for versatile motion capture.

Ultra-low power operation

Operating on a 3.3 V supply, the board consumes between 10 µA and 140 µA in low-power mode and 0.3 mA to 0.4 mA in normal mode. A smart sleep-to-wakeup function enables advanced power management in battery-operated systems.

Dual programmable interrupt engines

The module integrates two independent programmable interrupt engines designed to detect dedicated inertial events. This allows microcontrollers to offload event-monitoring routines efficiently.

Flexible interface and wiring

The breakout communicates over I2C and SPI interfaces, with a default I2C address of 0x19 and a selectable alternate address of 0x18. It integrates cleanly with 3.3 V development boards and controllers.

Compact and resilient design

Measuring just 15 mm by 20 mm, the board features 10000 g shock survivability and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It is also ECOPACK RoHS compliant.

Included package contents

Each kit includes one Fermion LIS331HH triple-axis accelerometer breakout board and two 2.54 mm 4-pin black single-row headers for soldering.
