Fermion: EC11 Rotary Encoder Module (Breakout)

The Fermion EC11 Rotary Encoder Module is an Arduino-compatible 360-degree input breakout featuring an integrated push button. It provides precise 20-pulse rotational sensing alongside discrete button switching, making it an excellent choice for makers, students, and engineers developing custom user interfaces.

Continuous 360-degree rotation

The module features an endless 360-degree rotation angle with no stop points and produces 20 pulses per full turn. It offers a rated operational lifespan of 30,000 plus or minus 200 cycles.

Dual encoder and button outputs

It provides three dedicated signal terminals, where pins A and B deliver quadrature encoder signals and pin C handles integrated push-button switching. This dual functionality is ideal for digital volume knobs, menu navigation, and variable lighting adjustment.

Flexible 3.3V to 5V operation

Compatible with standard 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers, the breakout ensures easy logic interfacing. It delivers robust performance in harsh environments with a working temperature range of -30 °C to +80 °C.

Prototyping-ready compact form factor

Measuring 33.8 mm by 22.4 mm with a weight of 14 g, the board includes standard XH2.54 bonding pads. It ships with a matching XH2.54 5-pin header for fast connection to breadboards and development platforms.
