Description

The Fermion BMP280 Digital Pressure Sensor is a compact breakout module designed for measuring atmospheric pressure and temperature with high linearity and stability. Powered by Bosch piezo-resistive sensing technology, it is ideal for students, makers, and hobbyists building weather stations, altitude trackers, and indoor navigation systems with Arduino.

Bosch piezo-resistive technology

Based on Bosch's proven piezo-resistive sensor design, this module delivers high electromagnetic robustness, long-term stability, and accurate linearity. Configurable operating options allow you to tailor power consumption, resolution, and filter performance to your project requirements.

Precise barometric and altitude measurement

The sensor measures barometric pressure across a 300 to 1100 hPa range with an absolute accuracy of ±1 hPa (±8.33 m) and a relative accuracy of ±0.12 hPa (±1 m). This precision enables reliable altitude tracking, relative floor-height detection, and enhanced navigation alongside IMU or GPS modules.

Integrated temperature sensing

Alongside pressure readings, the onboard sensor monitors ambient temperature from 0°C to 65°C with a measurement accuracy of 0.01°C. It supports Arduino code control to streamline data collection across microcontrollers.

Flexible I2C interface

The module communicates over I2C with a default address of 0x76 and features 5V-compatible logic. With a wide operating voltage of 3.3V to 5.5V, it integrates smoothly into both 3.3V and 5V development boards.

Compact footprint and low power

Measuring just 16.5 × 12.5 mm, the breakout board fits easily into tight enclosures, drones, and wearable devices. Its low power consumption ensures minimal battery drain in portable and remote logging setups.

Kit contents

Each pack includes one BMP280 digital pressure sensor module (V1.0) and one 4-pin 2.54 mm single-row header connector for breadboard prototyping.
