The Fermion BMM150 Triple Axis Magnetometer Sensor is a low-power, low-noise digital geomagnetic breakout designed for precise compass and navigation applications. Based on Bosch FlipCore technology, it suits makers, educators, and drone builders needing reliable absolute spatial orientation.

Raspberry Pi wiring support

The module interfaces over standard digital connections and connects directly to Raspberry Pi hardware using a default I2C address of 0x13.

Microcontroller interfacing and integration

Connect the breakout to M0 and other 3.3V development boards to measure 3-axis magnetic fields or combine it with an external accelerometer and gyroscope for IMU setups.

High accuracy geomagnetic sensing

It provides a magnetic resolution of 0.3μT with a heading accuracy of ±2.5 degrees and a wide magnetic range of ±1300μT on the x/y axes and ±2047μT on the z axis.

Low power consumption profiles

Operating at 3.3V with a 3ms start-up time, the sensor consumes an average of 170μA in low-power preset mode and 500μA in normal operating mode.
