The Fermion 2.8-inch TFT LCD is a 320x240 colour display module featuring resistive touch input and an integrated MicroSD card slot. It is an ideal interface solution for makers, students, and engineers building interactive projects, visual sensor monitors, and custom control panels.

Clear visuals and wide viewing angle

Driven by the ILI9341 chip, this 2.8-inch screen delivers a 320x240 resolution with 16-bit RGB565 colour depth. It features 300 cd/m2 typical brightness and a 60-degree symmetrical viewing angle across all directions for clear readability.

Integrated resistive touch control

The display incorporates an XPT2046 touch controller to provide accurate resistive touch capability. This enables direct user input for interactive menus, device dashboards, and equipment control interfaces.

Dual interface and simple wiring

The module supports standard 4-wire SPI communication alongside a dedicated GDI interface. When paired with GDI-equipped boards like the FireBeetle M0 using the included FPC cable, it offers straightforward plug-and-play setup without complex jumper wiring.

Onboard MicroSD card slot

An integrated MicroSD slot allows the display to read and render external image files and graphical assets. This saves microcontroller flash memory when managing complex visual assets or dynamic project displays.

Flexible power and broad compatibility

Operating across a 3.3V to 5.5V range with a full-screen power draw of 43.5mA, the breakout works seamlessly with common microcontrollers. It offers out-of-the-box compatibility with Arduino UNO, Leonardo, ESP32, ESP8266, and FireBeetle M0 boards.
