Fermion: 10 DOF IMU Sensor - ADXL345+ITG3205+VCM5883L+BMP280 (Breakout)

The Fermion 10 DOF IMU Sensor is an all-in-one motion and environmental tracking breakout board that measures velocity, orientation, gravitational forces, and altitude. Featuring four integrated sensor ICs and full Arduino compatibility, it is ideal for students, makers, and robotics developers building navigation or balancing systems.

Integrated 10-DOF sensing suite

The board combines an ADXL345 accelerometer, ITG-3205 gyroscope, VCM5883L magnetometer, and an upgraded BMP280 barometric pressure sensor. Together, these sensors deliver comprehensive 10-degrees-of-freedom inertial and atmospheric measurement over a standard I2C interface.

Wide power input range

Equipped with an onboard low-noise LDO regulator, the sensor operates reliably across an input voltage range of 3V to 8V. A built-in power LED provides an immediate visual indication of operating status.

Compact and secure mounting

Measuring just 26 mm by 18 mm, the gold-plated PCB fits easily into tight enclosures and lightweight builds. Two M3 mounting holes provide firm mechanical fastening to ensure stable, vibration-resistant sensor readings.

Versatile project applications

The module suits a wide range of motion-tracking applications including UAVs, balancing robots, altimeters, step-counters, and human-computer interaction (HCI) devices. It interfaces directly with Arduino boards as well as ESP32 microcontrollers.
