Essential Sensor IO Extender for micro:bit / UNIHIKER M10 / K10

The Essential Sensor IO Extender is an accessible expansion board designed for the micro:bit, UNIHIKER M10, and K10. It breaks out all micro:bit GPIO pins into standard Gravity interfaces and features a dedicated 5V port for the HuskyLens AI camera. It is ideally suited to students, educators, and makers building interactive robotics and vision-based projects.

Dedicated HuskyLens I2C port

The board features a specialised 5V I2C port designed specifically for the HuskyLens AI camera. Powering the board via its 5V Micro-USB interface delivers a stable 5V supply, ensuring the camera runs steadily in all operating modes.

Full Gravity GPIO expansion

All micro:bit 3.3V GPIO pins—including P0 through P16, P19, and P20—are broken out into Gravity-standard headers. It also includes two 3.3V I2C ports, allowing for straightforward connection of multiple sensors and actuators.

Integrated audio buzzer

An onboard buzzer provides instant sound output for alarms, prompts, and musical coding projects without requiring external wiring.

Clear rear pinout labelling

Detailed silkscreen markings on the reverse side clearly define every pin and interface. This makes circuit wiring straightforward and helps learners get started without referencing external pinout diagrams.

Compact board dimensions

With a footprint of 66.0 by 50.5 mm, this board provides extensive expansion options while remaining compact enough for portable classroom builds.
