Description
The EDGE201-DMX512 is an advanced lighting controller powered by an ESP32-S3 microcontroller and a dedicated DMX512 processing chip. Fully compatible with Arduino and ESPHome, it allows makers, stage technicians, and integrators to automate stage, venue, and commercial lighting using environmental sensors and wireless control. Its robust interface selection and industrial protection make it ideal for dynamic interactive displays and standalone installations.
Dual-core processing and wireless connectivity
The controller uses an ESP32-S3 paired with a dedicated DMX512 chip to ensure stable fixture operation and responsive logic execution. Integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enable remote programming and wireless control through standard platforms like Arduino and ESPHome.

Optically isolated digital switch inputs
Eight optically isolated digital inputs support standard PNP industrial sensors, such as infrared detectors, sound level meters, and laser sensors. These inputs enable automated, event-driven lighting sequences without the need for manual console intervention.

Versatile peripheral and communication interfaces
A comprehensive set of interfaces includes an RS485 port supporting master and slave modes, alongside dedicated I2C, UART, and dual GPIO ports. These connections allow straightforward integration with open-source sensors, external microcontrollers, and custom actuators.

Standard DMX512 output and scheduling
A three-pin XLR female port provides standard DMX512 output to control commercial fixtures, stage lights, and drivers, alongside an onboard relay output. A built-in real-time clock with 12-hour backup power enables precise time-based scheduling for recurring events and holiday displays.
Durable steel housing and mounting options
Built with a protective alloy steel enclosure, the unit is powered via a 12V to 24V supply using either a DC2.1 jack or terminal blocks. The package includes mounting brackets and 35mm DIN rail clips for secure installation in venue control cabinets or equipment racks.
