Description
The Embedded Thermal Printer V2.0 is a compact, ink-free direct thermal printing module designed for integration into custom enclosures, POS systems, and automation projects. Operating across a wide 9V to 24V supply, it easily interfaces with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and Windows systems via serial or USB. It is ideal for makers, educators, and engineers building receipt printers, smart lockers, data loggers, or instrumentation kiosks.
Versatile multi-interface connectivity
The module provides TTL, USB, RS485, and RS232 interfaces, allowing straightforward integration with microcontrollers, single-board computers, and industrial equipment. It supports standard serial commands as well as Windows driver-based printing.
Dual receipt and label modes
Switchable via software commands, the printer supports both continuous 58mm thermal receipt paper and thermal label rolls. This flexibility accommodates standard ticketing, point-of-sale transactions, and industrial labelling from a single unit.
Sharp, high-speed output
With a 203 DPI resolution (8 dots/mm) and print speeds reaching 70mm/s across a 48mm effective width, the module outputs crisp monochrome text, graphics, curves, barcodes, and QR codes. Text formatting options include built-in character enlargement up to four times.
Durable embedded design
Rated for a 50-kilometre printing lifespan, the mechanism consumes just 0.02A on standby and operates from -5°C to 50°C. Its compact 82 x 58 x 44 mm housing fits standard 77 x 53 x 42 mm panel-mount cutouts for neat enclosure installations.

Flexible wide-voltage operation
The printer operates across a 9V to 24V DC input range with a working current of 0.5A to 2.5A, delivering darker, clearer printouts at higher voltage levels. A 2-pin power cable, communication cables, USB lead, and starter paper rolls are included in the box.
