DC-DC Step Down Buck Converter (6~24V to 5V/16A)

The DC-DC Step Down Buck Converter delivers a regulated 5V output at up to 16A from a wide 6V to 24V DC input. Featuring over 90% conversion efficiency and built-in hardware protection, it provides high-current power for robotics, drone electronics, and high-power LED systems.

High-efficiency power delivery

The converter steps down DC inputs from 6V to 24V into a stable 5V output capable of delivering up to 16A. It achieves conversion efficiency above 90% under typical 12V loads with output ripple noise kept below 20mV for sensitive circuits.

Broad input performance

The module maintains reliable step-down conversion across its full operating range, including 24V battery systems under loads from 1A to 16A. This low-loss operation minimises heat generation during intensive tasks.

Microcontroller control and monitoring pins

The board features three control connections: EN toggles output on or off via a microcontroller IO pin with a 1K series resistor, AGND provides a dedicated control ground, and PGOOD indicates output status with a 5V logic high or 0V fault signal.

Built-in protection and thermal management

Onboard protection triggers at 125°C for over-temperature conditions alongside integrated output short-circuit protection. A thermal pad on the back can be soldered to a large copper area for improved heat dissipation during sustained high-current draws.
