Description

The DC-DC Charge Discharge Integrated Module boosts 3.7V or 4.2V lithium batteries to a stable 5V output at up to 2.1A. Featuring integrated power management, multi-stage protection, and battery status LEDs, it is ideal for makers building custom power banks, dashcam supplies, and portable electronics.

Measuring just 25 by 16 mm, this compact module features standard 2.54 mm pad pitch connections for easy soldering into custom circuits. Built-in lithium battery protection shields cells from over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature, and short-circuit faults.

Versatile wiring options

The board accommodates dedicated charging, standalone discharging, or concurrent charge-discharge operations. Standard 1 mm pad hole diameters ensure secure solder connections for power input and load terminals.

Simultaneous charge and discharge

The integrated power management circuit allows 5V output power delivery while the lithium battery is actively being charged. Balancing input and output currents during simultaneous operation helps maximise the working life of the module.

Dedicated charging configuration

When powered by a 4.6V to 5.4V DC input source, the module charges connected lithium batteries up to 4.2V with up to 91% charging efficiency. It delivers a charging current of up to 2.1A with a low 100uA charging quiescent current.

Standalone discharge setup

In discharge mode, the circuit steps up battery voltage to a 5V output at up to 96% discharge efficiency. A short press of the key button enables output power, while holding the button for approximately 10 seconds switches it off.

Four-level LED status indication

Four onboard LEDs display real-time charge and discharge capacity levels at a glance. To conserve battery power, the indicators automatically turn off after 35 seconds of inactivity in discharge mode.
