Description
This 40W DC-DC buck converter steps down an input voltage of 6V to 14V into a steady 5V output at up to 8A. Featuring a compact footprint and high efficiency, it is well suited for powering 5V development boards, mobile robotics, and smart home automation projects.
High power 5V 8A delivery
The module supplies up to 40W of total power with an output current ranging from 0A to 8A. It maintains a tight voltage accuracy of plus or minus 1 percent with a low full-load ripple of under 30mV.
High efficiency conversion
Achieving a conversion efficiency of over 93 percent with a 12V input at full load, this converter minimises power waste. Strong thermal dissipation ensures consistent, long-term operation without voltage shift.
Compact SMD-ready form factor
Designed with a compact profile, the module can be deployed as an SMD element and soldered directly onto custom carrier boards. It is fully compatible with standard 5V main controller boards.
Wide operating conditions
Engineered for demanding embedded applications such as robot car power systems, the regulator operates in ambient temperatures from 0 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius.
