Description
This compact DC-DC automatic step-up/step-down power module delivers a steady 5V output from an input range of 3V to 15V DC. Designed for makers, students, and hobbyists, it provides reliable voltage regulation for embedded electronics and DIY mobile power packs.
Automatic buck-boost voltage regulation
The module automatically steps voltages up or down to provide a fixed 5V output with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.1V. It delivers a maximum peak load current of 600mA with stable output performance over long running periods.
Dime-sized compact module profile
Measuring just 17 by 13mm, the board is approximately the size of a coin and suited for space-constrained electronics. The non-isolated chip-mounting design is rated for a working service life of up to 50000 hours.
Clear four-pin wiring interface
The board features four dedicated connection points comprising input terminals Vi+ and Vi- alongside output terminals Vo+ and Vo-. Ground reference lines are clearly defined for direct integration into your power circuit.

High-frequency low quiescent draw
Operating at a theoretical switching frequency of up to 1.2MHz, the module achieves conversion efficiency of up to 85 percent. It maintains a low quiescent no-load current of 180 to 200uA for power-conscious designs.
Versatile microcontroller and device power
The regulator is suited for powering controller main-boards, DIY current sources, floodlights, toy cars, communication gear, and digital radios. It operates in ambient environments ranging from minus 10 to plus 50 degrees Celsius.
Input voltage and load limits
Input voltage must not exceed 15V to avoid damaging the module. For continuous operation, current draw should stay under 600mA, and higher loads require a higher minimum input voltage to maintain stable 5V output.
