Description
This high-resolution audio decoder board transforms a Raspberry Pi 3B+ or 4B into an audiophile-grade digital audio transport and DAC. It supports decoding up to 384kHz/32-bit across analog, optical, coaxial, and HDMI I2S/DSD connections. Compatible with popular software players like Volumio and Moode, it is ideal for makers and hobbyists building custom high-fidelity music streaming setups.
Versatile digital and analog outputs
The board supports simultaneous or selective routing to analog RCA, a 3.5mm headphone jack, optical TOSLINK, coaxial, and I2S/DSD over HDMI. Each output channel can be independently enabled or disabled via onboard controls to suit your audio setup.

High-resolution TI PCM5122 DAC
A Texas Instruments PCM5122 digital-to-analog converter delivers decoding capabilities up to 384kHz/32-bit with 112dB SNR and high dynamic range. Five selectable internal filter profiles allow users to adjust output tone characteristics to match their listening preferences.

TI PCM9211 transceiver with clock de-jitter
The onboard TI PCM9211 transceiver chip supports sample rates up to 216kHz with coaxial transceiver clock jitter below 50RMS. It also provides dedicated hardware clock de-jittering for DSD audio streams.

Isolated low-noise power architecture
Dual LDO regulator stages power the analog and digital circuits independently to eliminate cross-talk. High-capacity solid and tantalum capacitors provide clean power rail decoupling to maximise the overall signal-to-noise ratio.

Ultra-low jitter SiTime oscillators
Industrial programmable SiTime digital silicon oscillators provide precise system clocking with extremely low phase noise and minimal jitter. This ensures accurate signal timing across all digital playback modes.

Differential I2S and DSD via HDMI
A DS90LV047A high-speed differential driver delivers distortion-free I2S and DSD output through an HDMI physical port at up to 200MHz. This enables direct differential connection to external high-end DAC decoders with standard HDMI cabling.

Onboard OLED display and control menu
An integrated OLED screen displays active sample rates, input formats, and output statuses at a glance. Three onboard push buttons provide quick configuration of input sources, master clock multipliers, bit depths, and output toggles.
