Description

The CS20 is a compact, dual-resolution Time-of-Flight (ToF) 3D depth camera engineered for spatial perception up to 5 metres. Consuming just 1.2W over a single USB-C interface, it is an efficient 3D sensing solution for makers, educators, and robotics developers working with ROS, Linux, Windows, or Android.

Accurate Time-of-Flight depth sensing

Utilising 940nm ToF technology, the module delivers depth resolutions up to 640x480 across an indoor operating range of 0.1 to 5 metres. It provides a 60° horizontal by 45° vertical field of view with millimetre-level measurement accuracy.

Compact format and low power consumption

Measuring just 48mm by 34mm by 12mm, the lightweight sensor integrates easily onto mobile robots, Raspberry Pi setups, and x86 single-board computers. It runs on a 5V supply over USB 2.0 Type-C with an average power dissipation of only 1.2W.

High-density 3D point cloud generation

Unlike traditional 2D cameras, the sensor captures precise three-dimensional coordinate data for every point in its field of view. The dual-resolution output enables detailed point cloud rendering and 3D modeling with fast imaging speed and a minimal blind spot.

Reliable performance in dark environments

Because active infrared Time-of-Flight sensing does not depend on ambient visible light or scene texture, measurement accuracy remains consistent in low-light conditions. This makes it dependable for enclosed or pitch-black operational environments.

Broad OS support and ROS integration

Developers can extract depth, phase, and point cloud streams via the SDK, complete with depth and amplitude timing synchronisation. The camera is compatible with Linux, Windows, ROS, and Android for applications like SLAM, people counting, and volume estimation.
