Capacitive Tube Liquid Level Sensor (OD=6mm)

The Capacitive Tube Liquid Level Sensor is designed for non-invasive fluid detection on 6mm outer diameter non-metallic tubing. Operating across 2.5V to 5.5V DC with a standard 3-pin DuPont connector, it provides a straightforward digital signal when liquid is detected. It is ideal for students, makers, and hobbyists building beverage machines, fluid monitors, and automated tubing projects.

Non-contact tube fluid sensing

This sensor clips onto 6mm outer diameter non-metallic tubing to detect fluid presence without direct contact with the liquid. It features an IP62 protection level and a compact 3g design suitable for tight installations.

Capacitance-based detection method

The sensor measures changes in static capacitance as liquid approaches the sensing zone along plastic tubing. An integrated control IC processes the capacitance shift and triggers the sensing threshold with plus or minus 0.25 percent full-scale hysteresis.

Standard three-pin connection

Equipped with a 3-pin DuPont connector, the unit connects directly to microcontroller boards. The wiring provides power, ground, and digital signal lines for fast prototyping.

Active-low digital output

The module outputs a digital low signal when liquid is detected and transitions to a high level when no liquid is present. This simple logic output integrates easily with standard digital GPIO inputs.

Low-power wide voltage range

Operating on 2.5V to 5.5V DC, the sensor draws only 235uA at 3V and 290uA at 5V. It is rated for operating temperatures between -20 and 100 degrees Celsius.
