Description
The Bluno Mega 2560 combines the expansive I/O and memory capacity of an Arduino Mega 2560 with integrated Bluetooth 4.0 BLE connectivity. Designed for makers, educators, and developers, it enables seamless wireless communication and remote programming for complex robotics and automation projects.
Integrated Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity
Powered by an onboard TI CC2540 chip, the board supports Bluetooth 4.0 wireless communication over distances up to 70 metres in open space. It supports transparent serial transmission, wireless Arduino sketch programming, and master-slave switching.
Expansive digital and analog IO
The board features 54 digital I/O pins, 16 analog inputs, and 4 dedicated hardware UART ports. It provides ample connectivity for sensor-heavy builds and multi-actuator robotics projects.
ATmega2560 processing and memory
Driven by an ATmega2560 processor running at 16 MHz, the board includes 256 KB of flash memory, 8 KB of SRAM, and 4 KB of EEPROM. This provides generous space for complex code libraries and data-intensive routines.
Broad BLE protocol support
The integrated Bluetooth module supports Bluetooth HID, iBeacon modes, and AT command debugging. Firmware for the BLE chip can also be updated directly over USB.
Automatic dual-source power switching
Power can be supplied via standard USB or an external DC source with automatic switching. External inputs support a recommended voltage range of 7V to 12V DC via battery or wall adapter.
