Description
The Arduino UNO R4 WiFi merges a Renesas RA4M1 32-bit Arm Cortex-M4 processor with an Espressif ESP32-S3 module, delivering upgraded processing power alongside built-in wireless capabilities. Retaining the classic UNO form factor and 5V shield compatibility, it is an ideal prototyping tool for students, educators, hobbyists, and makers.
Faster processing and expanded memory
Powered by a 48MHz Renesas RA4M1 Arm Cortex-M4 microcontroller, the board delivers a threefold clock speed increase over the UNO R3. Upgraded memory with 256kB flash and 32kB SRAM accommodates more complex calculations and larger software sketches.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity
The onboard ESP32-S3 module brings wireless Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities to projects. Connected projects can interface directly with the Arduino IoT Cloud for remote data monitoring and device control.
Integrated 12x8 LED matrix
A bright matrix of 96 red LEDs arranged in a 12x8 grid is built directly into the board. This allows makers to create animations or plot live sensor data without adding extra display hardware.
Enhanced peripherals and power tolerance
The board introduces a 12-bit analog DAC, CAN bus communication, an onboard OP AMP, and a USB-C programming port with native HID keyboard and mouse emulation. An extended 6V to 24V input voltage range allows high-voltage actuators and motors to run alongside the board from a single power source.
Shield compatibility and Qwiic expansion
Preserving the standard UNO pinout and 5V operating voltage ensures smooth compatibility with existing shields and accessories. A dedicated Qwiic I2C connector enables rapid, solderless integration with a broad ecosystem of sensors and breakout boards.
Runtime diagnostics and power controls
An integrated error-catching mechanism detects runtime crashes and provides explanatory hints pointing to the code line responsible. Dedicated VRTC and OFF pins allow battery backup for the internal Real-Time Clock and full board power shutdown.
