The Arduino Mega 2560 Rev3 is an expansive microcontroller board powered by the ATmega2560 processor, tailored for complex projects requiring numerous inputs and outputs. It is an ideal choice for robotics hobbyists, educators, and makers who have outgrown standard development boards.

Extensive digital and analogue connectivity

Equipped with 54 digital input/output pins, including 14 hardware PWM outputs, alongside 16 dedicated analogue inputs. This vast selection easily accommodates multiple sensors, motors, and peripheral modules simultaneously.

Four hardware serial ports

Features 4 independent hardware UARTs to communicate with multiple serial devices at once without requiring software emulation. This makes multi-device networking and telemetry straightforward.

High-capacity memory and processing

Driven by an ATmega2560 chip clocked at 16 MHz with 256 KB flash memory (8 KB allocated to the bootloader), 8 KB SRAM, and 4 KB EEPROM. It delivers ample headroom for demanding code and complex libraries.

Revision 3 hardware updates

Includes an upgraded ATmega16U2 USB-to-serial converter, a stronger reset circuit, and standard 1.0 pinout additions such as dedicated SDA/SCL lines and an IOREF voltage-adapting pin.

Flexible power and shield compatibility

Operates at 5V and accepts 7 to 12V recommended input via the DC power jack or battery, with support up to 6 to 20V limits. It retains pin layout compatibility with most shields designed for the Uno, Duemilanove, and Diecimila.
