Description
The Air Quality Monitor is an integrated environmental sensing module that measures particulate matter (PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10) alongside ambient temperature and relative humidity. Featuring a standard UART interface, it communicates seamlessly with microcontrollers such as Arduino and STM32. It is an ideal all-in-one sensor for makers, students, and educators building automated air purifiers, weather monitors, and classroom environmental stations.
Multi-parameter environmental data
This compact module consolidates particulate concentration, temperature, and humidity detection onto a single board. It outputs real-time data frames over UART, allowing microcontrollers to log and display comprehensive ambient air metrics with minimal wiring.

Laser scattering particle detection
Utilising laser scattering principles, the sensor continuously samples suspended airborne particles down to a minimum size of 0.3μm with sub-second response times. It provides an effective PM2.5 mass concentration range of 0 to 500μg/m³ with a 1μg/m³ resolution.

Integrated climate sensing
An onboard sensor chip delivers real-time ambient climate readings covering temperatures from 0 to 99℃ at ±0.5℃ accuracy and relative humidity from 0 to 99% at ±2% accuracy. This built-in hardware removes the need for separate external temperature and humidity probes.
Six-sided interference shielding
The module features a six-sided metal housing designed to provide all-round electromagnetic shielding and strong anti-interference performance. The shell connects directly to internal power ground, protecting measurement integrity across diverse operating environments.
Installation and enclosure recommendations
For optimal airflow, maintain at least 2cm clearance around the air outlet and ensure external inlet vents match or exceed the sensor intake dimensions. When mounting in stationary units or purifiers, position the sensor at least 20cm above the ground and use 2mm self-tapping screws with a maximum penetration depth of 5mm.
Included connection accessories
The package includes the multifunction air quality monitor unit, a dedicated PM2.5 module adapter board, and an 8-pin 150mm connecting lead.
