Description
The 9 Axes Motion Shield for Arduino is an orientation tracking board built around the Bosch BNO055 intelligent absolute orientation sensor. It is designed for students, makers, and robotics developers requiring accurate spatial sensing without complex computational overhead. The shield directly connects to compatible Arduino boards to deliver real-time orientation data for navigation and motion-driven projects.
Bosch BNO055 sensor fusion
The shield integrates a Bosch BNO055 sensor that performs on-chip sensor fusion. It processes raw sensor signals internally to deliver high-speed, stable orientation tracking without burdening the host Arduino processor.
Quaternion and Euler outputs
Orientation data can be read directly in quaternion and Euler angle formats. This provides ready-to-use spatial coordinates for 3D modeling, robotics, and flight stabilization applications.
Nine-axis IMU tracking
The system combines a 3-axis accelerometer, a 3-axis gyroscope, and a 3-axis geomagnetic sensor. Together, these sensors capture complete 9-axis inertial and magnetic field tracking.
Configurable motion interrupts
Hardware interrupt generation enables automated alerting for physical movement events. This allows the host microcontroller to respond instantly to detected motion or remain in power-saving modes until triggered.
