8 Channel Relay Module (RJ45-RLY16, Up to 16Amp)

The 8 Channel Relay Module is an Ethernet-controlled switching board equipped with eight high-capacity SPCO relays for remote automation. It supports control via HTTP webpages, TCP/IP commands, and mobile apps, making it ideal for makers, educators, and hobbyists building home automation or remote test rigs.

Flexible Ethernet control options

The module connects via standard RJ45 Ethernet and accepts simple TCP/IP commands alongside a built-in HTTP webpage interface for setup and testing. Free companion apps for Android and iPhone enable straightforward mobile control.

High current SPCO switching

Each of the eight volt-free Single Pole Change Over relays can switch resistive loads up to 16A at 250V AC or 24V DC. All Normally Open, Normally Closed, and Common contacts are broken out to robust screw terminals.

Support for inductive and motor loads

The board accommodates diverse load types, handling electromagnetic loads up to 3A at 120V AC and 1.5A at 240V AC. It also supports motor control up to 750W as well as DC electromagnetic switching.

Visual diagnostic indicators

A dedicated red LED next to each relay lights up when energized, providing instant visual feedback. Additional onboard LEDs include a green processor power indicator and dual RJ45 Ethernet traffic lights.

Power requirements and form factor

The board runs on a 12V DC supply drawing at least 500mA, connected via a standard 2.1mm centre-positive DC barrel jack. The complete module measures 133mm by 74mm for straightforward mounting in project enclosures.
