8 Channel Ethernet Relay Controller (Support PoE and USB)

The 8 Channel Ethernet Relay Controller is an STM32-based switching unit designed for centralized power management and remote automation over local networks. It suits makers, educators, and industrial automation integrators needing dependable multi-channel switching. The controller can be operated over Ethernet, USB, or RS485 and supports both external DC and Power over Ethernet inputs.

STM32 processing and eight relay channels

Driven by an onboard STM32 microcontroller, the module provides eight independently controlled relays for managing connected equipment. Each relay supports maximum switching loads of up to 277V AC at 10A or 125V AC at 12A.

Ethernet, USB, and RS485 control methods

The controller supports open communication protocols, including JSON over Ethernet and an open USB protocol. It integrates smoothly into automated systems and includes dedicated PC management software.

Dual power input options with PoE

Power the controller using a standard 7V to 23V DC external supply or directly via a 44V to 57V DC Power over Ethernet connection. Using PoE allows a single network cable to deliver both data and power to the unit.

PoE hardware compatibility notes

The PoE interface has been tested and confirmed to work with ONV POE31004P and Tenda TEF1008P switches. Note that the PoE function is not compatible with TP-LINK TL-SG3424P managed switches or 100-POE4 industrial midspan injectors.

Durable enclosure and network configuration

Built into an industrial-grade casing, the 530g unit measures 145mm by 90mm by 40mm and operates across temperatures from -30 to 85 degrees Celsius. Network addressing supports DHCP and static IP modes, defaulting to 192.168.1.10 on port 2000.

Complete connection accessories included

The package includes the RLY-8-POE-USB controller module, a 7.5V 1A power adapter, an RJ45 network cable, and a USB Type-A to Type-B cable for immediate deployment.
