60W Adjustable DC-DC Buck Converter Module

This 60W DC-DC buck converter steps down 9V to 15V input supplies to an adjustable 0.6V to 5.1V output, delivering up to 18A of current. It is an ideal power solution for makers, students, and engineers powering high-current, low-voltage projects such as addressable LED installations and robotics servos.

High-current adjustable power delivery

The module converts 9V to 15V inputs, such as 12V power supplies or 11.1V lithium batteries, into an adjustable 0.6V to 5.1V output. With active dissipation, it delivers up to 18A and 60W of power at a typical conversion efficiency of 92%.

Integrated multi-stage circuit protection

Built for reliable industrial-grade operation, the converter features onboard short-circuit, over-current, and over-temperature protection. These automated safeguards ensure stable performance and protect downstream electronics from power faults.

Thermal monitoring guidelines

The module performs steadily with surface temperatures below 80°C. Additional heat dissipation is recommended if temperatures reach 80°C to 90°C, and is required above 90°C to prevent thermal cut-off from triggering.

Versatile project compatibility

High output current capability makes this module suitable for driving 5-metre WS2812 RGB LED strips, ensuring smooth servo movement in robotics, and powering communication or battery-operated equipment.

Compact layout and included hardware

Measuring 52 by 37 mm, the module integrates neatly into compact enclosures. Each pack includes the buck converter module, an aluminium heat sink, and two 2-pin terminal blocks for easy connection.
